As I think through the trip, from beginning to end, I learned a few things along the way ...
It's always fun to watch your kid perform.
Your heart bursts with pride at their accomplishments,
and hurts over their defeats.
God's voice is in the wind and the rain and it is VERY powerful!
Husbands don't do well when the GPS malfunctions.
All kids think about is the next meal and what time the pool closes!
It's hard to be lost for 45 minutes and keep your cool.
History is rich.
Kids don't always appreciate it.
People are much more patriotic on the East Coast.
Freedom came at a price and the people who fought for it were real.
The Bible is the foundation this country was built on.
Beauty comes in many forms. Sometimes surprising.
Time spent with your family is invaluable!
The waves on the beach put things in perspective.
God is good and His blessings are too many to count.
There's no place like home!
Thanks for coming along. It really was a trip of a lifetime. Rhonda
